Renting an RV from the UK.

Travellers Autobarn's US terms ask for an International Driving Permit only when the licence is not in English. An accredited English translation is accepted instead. Their own IDP article says a valid full licence in English does not need an IDP. El Monte's FAQ asks for an International Driver's License translation when the original licence has no English. A UK photocard that is in English is the case those sentences are not aimed at. Bring the physical card. Cruise America's 2026 notes do not accept a digital licence, and they want the licence and a foreign passport checked at the counter.

You still tell them the destination. A UK booking is not exempt from the supplementary fee, the cleaning fee, or the ban at the companies that forbid the trip. Outdoorsy and RVezy are not a workaround because the card is British.

The counters that publish a Burning Man rule are the ones on the city pages: Reno and Sparks, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake. Cruise America's notes say a same-day pickup after a flight is allowed, and that a late flight, customs, or baggage is your problem, not theirs. A hotel night is welcome and not required. Call the center a few days ahead. They do not include the transfer unless you bought the early-bird option they describe.
