An RV rental from Reno for Burning Man is the short drive. It is also the grocery run, because the city does not have a store you should count on.

El Monte calls the Reno counter its Burning Man location, at Bordertown Casino RV Resort, and says it is open seasonally. Cruise America's Sparks center is 465 S. Rock Blvd. Their Burning Man page also points at Sacramento, which they describe as four hours from the event, and Las Vegas, which they describe as eight. Those times are theirs.
Their 2026 client notes list a one-way fee of $750 to or from Reno, inside a wider one-way range of $350 to $1,000. An unauthorized one-way on those notes is $3,000. Nevada departures from 26 August through 1 September 2026 are in the $1,000 deposit window.
Do the food and drinking-water run in Reno or Sparks. Cruise America's client notes tell you to ask the center for a supermarket. El Monte's guide says there is no fuel inside the city and that Gerlach is the last services, about ten miles from the entrance. The city's water page is the potable fill in Gerlach. Fill containers there. It is not a dump.

- Should I buy supplies in Reno or in Gerlach?
- Buy the groceries and the drinking water in Reno or Sparks. Gerlach is the last services El Monte names, and the city's water page is a potable fill, not a supermarket. There is no store inside Black Rock City you should count on.
- Is the Sacramento rental the same as Reno?
- Cruise America's Burning Man page points at Sacramento and describes it as four hours from the event. This guide does not have a Sacramento street address from a location page, so we are not inventing a counter. Reno and Sparks are the addresses above. Use their page if Sacramento is the pickup they offered you.
- Can I drop the RV in Reno and fly home?
- Only if that company allows the one-way and you booked it. Cruise America's notes publish $750 to or from Reno, and $3,000 if the one-way was not authorized. Another fleet may not offer it at all.
