Pickup
RV rental from Salt Lake City for Burning Man.
Salt Lake is a real Cruise America counter, and it is inside the late-August deposit window because Utah is one of the five states on their 2026 notes.
We are an independent outfitter. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Burning Man Project. The event name is used so you know which week this is for. We do not book the rental.
Cruise America's Salt Lake page lists 4125 South State Street, Millcreek. Indie Campers' Burning Man story names Salt Lake City. We have not found an El Monte or Road Bear page that prices a Salt Lake pickup the way they price San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Do not assume that down payment applies here.
A one-way that ends in Reno is on Cruise America's $750 Reno line if Reno is the pickup or the drop. Book it as a one-way. Driving a round-trip reservation into a different drop is how their notes get to the unauthorized fee.
The decision around the counter, the tanks, and the companies that forbid the trip is renting an RV for Burning Man. Fees that are not repeated here are on the rental guide and in the comparison. Dumping is the pump-out note, the generator is its own page, and flying in is the licence note.
Counters their own pages name.

Questions
- Is the Burning Man deposit higher if I leave from Salt Lake?
- On Cruise America's 2026 client notes, yes, for every Utah departure from 26 August through 1 September 2026 inclusive. The deposit they print for that window is $1,000, up from $500. Another company may not use that window at all.
