A regional is not Black Rock City with a shorter drive. Some of them are deserts. Some of them are woods. The gear that transfers is the gear that fails the same way. The dates and the water rule stay on their site.
We are an independent outfitter. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Burning Man Project, and we are not the organizer of any event on this page.
The index we point at, and do not run, is regionals.burningman.org. A listing there is not an endorsement of this shop. If an event is missing below, that calendar is where to look. We only write a date here when the organizer published it.
Burning Flipside
Region
Near San Gabriel, Texas
Typical month
Late April into early May
Dates
April 29 – May 3, 2027
What to pack differently. Their land is a Texas river camp, not the Black Rock playa. Read their survival guide for gate hours and water. A rain plan matters more here than an alkaline-dust mask, and our playa gallon line does not travel.
June. Their homepage says the event takes place every year in June.

What to pack differently. Colorado in June can be hot in the day and cold at night, and it is not the playa. Use their page for water, tickets, and what the land actually is. Shade and a real bag still transfer. The city's rules do not.
June, the month of the 2026 dates they published. That is not a 2027 date.

What to pack differently. A Utah desert event, closer to this list than a forest burn: sun, wind, and dust. Their site is still the rule for water and tickets. Do not paste Black Rock gate hours onto it.
July, from the 2026 event they published as July 15–19.

What to pack differently. Woods and water in Michigan, not alkali. A full rainfly, a warm night, and a bug plan matter more than sealed goggles. Their site is the water rule and the fire rule.
New England. Their site currently calls it a Massachusetts event. Earlier years were in Vermont.
Typical month
Around the Fourth of July, which is what their homepage still says. That page also says 2026 planning is on hold and may be out of date.

What to pack differently. A woods event when it runs. Rain, mud, and a cool night are what we would pack for. Their site says 2026 planning was put on hold, so confirm the event exists before you shop a pile of gear for it.
What to pack differently. Arizona desert. They tell you to bring food, water, shelter, and supplies. Sun and wind rhyme with the playa. Their survival guide is the one to obey, not ours.
California City, California. A Los Angeles regional, at Seraphim Ranch.
Typical month
May
Dates
May 5–9, 2027
What to pack differently. A short desert event. Their page says it is all ages, pet free, and that RVs are not delivered. Pack shade and water for a desert, and read their survival guide before you assume Black Rock services.
What to pack differently. A remote desert and a long drive from a city. Self-reliance is the whole plan, and the dust is not the playa. Their site is the water, the tickets, and the gate. Leave the Black Rock vehicle-pass rules at home.
Their 2026 terms put the start of on-site construction on 13 October 2026. We are not turning that into a gate date.

What to pack differently. A desert city in Israel, on their own calendar. Pack for sun and self-reliance, then follow their terms. Our gallon line and our ticket page are for Black Rock City.
Northern Spain, in the Monegros, when the event is on
Typical month
The homepage still contains older July copy, next to a note that the producer will not run Nowhere again.

What to pack differently. Their event page describes a hot, dusty desert between Zaragoza and Lleida. The homepage says Going Nowhere SL will not produce Nowhere again. Confirm the event before you buy gear for it.
What to pack differently. Woodland. They say to be fully self-reliant for shelter, food, water, and power, and that a motorhome has to fit the gate. Rain and mud, not playa dust. Their survival guide is the one that counts.
What to pack differently. A forest with lakes, and a membership rather than a spectator ticket. Cool nights and rain. Their site says a guided walk is public and the event itself is for members. Pack for woods, not the playa.

Questions
Is a Burning Man packing list right for a regional?
Use the pieces that fail the same way: dust if the ground makes dust, shade if the sun is the problem, a rainfly if the land is woods. Do not copy Black Rock City gallons, gate hours, or ticket rules onto another event. That event's page is the rule.
Why do some events say to check the official site?
We write a date only when that event's own site published it. If the 2027 date is not on their site, the line stays “Check the official site for dates.” We do not guess.
Do you sell tickets to these events?
No. We don't sell Burning Man tickets either. Each organizer sells, or doesn't, on their own site. We are not affiliated with Burning Man Project or with these events.
