A rental car for the week.

Some of us drive our own car. Some of us pick one up in Reno because the flight was the way in. The car is a contract with that company, and the playa is a kind of dust they may not have priced in the headline.

We are an independent outfitter. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Burning Man Project. The event name is used so you know which week this is for.

Dust, cleaning, and the contract

Playa dust is fine and alkaline. It packs into carpet, vents, and a trunk that was opened at camp. Water alone turns it into paste. Tell the company where you are going before you pay, and read the lines on cleaning, interior damage, and driving off pavement.

Check your contract. We do not invent a cleaning fee and paste it here. If the contract is silent, ask them in writing. A shrug at the counter is not a waiver you can show later.

A car is not an RV. Tanks, a generator, and whether a rental RV is even allowed are on renting an RV. If the bed is a rig, the drinking hose, sewer kit, and leveling blocks are the RV week kit. A car does not need that kit. A vehicle pass, if the car needs one, is on Burning Man Project's ticketing pages, not on this one. The ticket season guide points at those pages. We do not sell the pass.

The night before the drive, and the night after, is a Reno hotel. Gear that should not ride in a suitcase is shipped to Reno.
