Why it's on the list
City cyclists forget how dark the open playa is. We want a front light that throws on the ground and a rear light people can see through dust, on mounts that stay put. Charge both before gate. Take them when you park. Nice lights migrate.
How we use it
Charge both before gate. Take them off the bike when you park. Nice lights walk away from a 'quick' art stop. A tall flag — pole, whip, even a pool noodle — matters as much as the lumens, because bikes are a crowd at handlebar height. Skip a light that only sticks on with adhesive. Dust kills that bond.
Heads up
This set is brighter than the older Metro pairing. Brightness is not the spec that saves you. A dead light, a soft rubber mount, and a sticky pad on a dusty frame are.
