Why it's on the list

Repair camps are a gift, and they run out of the tube you need. A pump, a spare tube, and a pair of levers live on the bike. Learn the swap before you are doing it in the dark with dusty hands. Oil on the chain turns to paste out here. Dry lube is the one that survives.

How we use it

Match the tube to the tire you actually brought. A presta tube in a schrader wheel is a story you only need once. Strap the pump where you can reach it without unpacking the camp bin.

Heads up

One working brake is the minimum. A repair kit does not replace it. E-bikes have parts a gift camp may not carry, so bring the odd one.
