Ziploc gallon freezer bags

Ziploc

Burning Man camp gear

Heavy gallon bags for clean socks, a drive-home outfit, and wipes that have to come out.

Why it's on the list

A dusty sock in the bottom of the tent becomes tomorrow's pair. A clean outfit in a sealed bag is the drive home. Porto wipes that must come out need a bag that actually closes. Freezer-weight gallon bags are the ones that survive a week of being opened with dusty hands.

How we use it

One bag is today's socks. One is the clothes you will wear in the car. One lives in the basket for used wipes. Empty them into the contractor bag and reuse the ones that still seal.

Heads up

A sandwich bag splits. If the seal is tired, it goes in the trash you are hauling, not onto the playa.
