Why it's on the list
The survival guide asks for an ABC extinguisher in a central, visible spot in each camp, and one in each camper or trailer. Stoves, burn barrels, and a neighbor's art are how a small flame becomes the week. A charged five-pound unit with a gauge you can read, bagged or hung where the first person to notice can reach it, is the one we send.
How we use it
Check the gauge before you leave home. Shake a dry-chemical unit the way the label says, so the powder is not a brick. If you pull the pin, get it serviced before you trust it again. The link is a search because brands and sizes rotate.
Heads up
This is for a small flame you can leave. A person on fire, a structure, or a fire you cannot put out is Emergency Services. Know where the red crosses are before you need them.
