Sharpie permanent markers in a row, including a fine point.

BS-952

Worth packing

Sharpie fine-point markers

Sharpie

Burning Man camp gear

A box of fine black markers for names, camp addresses, and the vinegar bottle.

Why it's on the list

The playa is full of identical bikes, lamps, bottles, and baskets. A name and a camp address, written before gate, is how a light comes back. Twelve is more than a week needs, because markers walk off and the one in a pocket dies in the dust.

How we use it

Write it on the bike frame, the lamp, the bottle, and the basket. Cap on. Label the vinegar bottle in letters you can see when you are tired.

Heads up

Write on the bottle, not on the spout you drink from. Permanent ink on a hydration mouthpiece is a bad afternoon.
