The should-bring list names phone straps because the playa eats small things. A tether from the phone to a belt loop or the bag is how a dance does not become a lost-and-found errand. Mark the phone with your name anyway. The strap is the first line.

How we use it

Clip it before you leave camp. A tether that dangles into a bike wheel is worse than no tether. If the strap has a breakaway, that is the one you want when it snags.

Heads up

A strap does not make the phone waterproof. The dry bag still does that job when it rains.
