Why it's on the list
Dust and a week of sun find the seam you meant to seal at home. Seam Grip WP is the urethane sealer Gear Aid sells for tent flies, tarps, and outdoor fabric. The 1-ounce tube is the listing we opened. It needs hours to cure, so the useful time to use it is before you leave, on a seam you already know leaks.
How we use it
Seal at home, where it can cure. On playa it is a patch for a hole you cannot ignore, and you still need the patch kit that came with the bed. Cap the tube. A smear on the tent floor collects dust and then the sleeping bag.
Heads up
It is a repair, not a new tent. Read the fabrics it will not stick to. Cure time is the maker's, and a dusty wet seam will not behave like a clean one in a kitchen.
