Why it's on the list
Lag bolts back out with a socket. Rebar stays until you pull it, and an open end finds a shin after dark. We cap every stake that is not bent into a candy cane. These are orange mushroom caps sized for #3 through #9 rebar, which covers the 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch stakes camps actually drive. The opened listing is an 80-pack.
How we use it
Push one on every vertical end before the shade is finished, including the ones that only stick up a few inches. They come off when you pull the stake, and they go back in the bag. A cap left in the dust is moop. Count them with the rebar.
Heads up
A plastic cap makes the end blunt and easy to see. It is not a promise that nobody can be hurt, and it does not replace bending a candy cane where people walk. Fit them at home on one stake before you buy a second pack.
