Why it's on the list

Fairy lights dress the tent. The build wants a string you can see from the street: 12-volt, warm bulbs or LEDs, clipped to the frame so camp has an outline after dark. It runs from the power station, not from a coin cell and not from a panel glued to the wire. Eight to twenty feet around the lounge is enough. Longer than that becomes a tangle in the wind.

How we use it

Zip-tie or clip every span and cut the tails into your pocket. Leave a little slack so a gust does not yank the plug. Take the string down before a wind event. Pack it in the morning if nobody will be there to watch it.

Heads up

These mark camp. They do not make a bike visible, and a dead station means a dark string.
