Why it's on the list

The short camp string under the shade is the room. Fairy lights are the finer line people want over the bed and along the tent ceiling. USB, so they run from the battery bank, with a switch. Warm and dim. A solar panel on the string is a rumor once the dust settles on it.

How we use it

Look for a USB set with a thicker wire and an off switch. Clip it to the tent, pocket every offcut, and take it down if the wind is going to work on the fly. The whole string comes home. A broken strand on the playa is moop.
