Why it's on the list

The porto is a walk, and a whiteout makes that walk worse. A rigid funnel lets someone pee standing, into a bottle or beside the bike, without putting a costume in the dust. The first-aid booklet lists a pee funnel in the personal kit. People who already stand to pee do not need one.

How we use it

Practice at home, in the clothes you will actually wear. Rinse it. In a tent, use a jug with a screw lid, not an open cup. It is not a medical device.

Heads up

A soft funnel collapses. This one is rigid, and it still wants a rinse. Urine goes in the porto or in the waste you already planned. It does not go on the playa.
