Why it's on the list

The city's own guide puts lip balm next to sunscreen. The playa pulls moisture out of you before you feel hot. A stick in the day bag gets used. A tube in the toiletry bin does not. SPF on the label, because the sun at this elevation burns a lip the same way it burns a shoulder.

How we use it

Buy two. One lives with the goggles. The cap stays on, because an open stick is a dust stick. Reapply when you reapply sunscreen.
