Why it's on the list
Shade is still how the afternoon gets survived. When the tent is the room you need cool, the WAVE 3 is the compact unit people mean by a camp air conditioner. It heats as well, which matters on the night the temperature falls. The listing we opened includes a drain pipe. It does not include the add-on battery. The 300 watt-hour station cannot run it.
How we use it
The exhaust duct has to leave the tent, or you are stirring the same hot air. Keep the intake out of a dust cloud and wipe the filter. The maker's runtime figures are theirs, and they assume the add-on battery. Park it where camp can hear it without aiming it at a neighbor's pillow. Shade still does the open hours.
Heads up
This is a serious purchase, and the battery is extra. It is not a swamp cooler, and it is not a reason to skip the shade structure.
