Soft Landings SoundControl earplugs

Soft Landings

Burning Man sleep gear

Filtered earplugs that lower the volume and still let you hear the music.

Why it's on the list

Foam plugs are for the tent, when you want the camp to go away. These are for the hours you are still out. Soft Landings rates the SoundControl filters at 18 dB and includes small and regular silicone shells, plus a pouch. Their US price was $24.99 when we checked the product page.

How we use it

Try both shell sizes at home. The filters stay dry. The shells can be washed and have to be dry before the filters go back in. One pair lives in the day bag. Foam plugs still live by the bed.

Heads up

The 18 dB figure is the maker's. We have not worn this pair ourselves. We have used their drink mixes and we like those. They are hearing filters, not a medical device, and they ship from Australia.
