New shoes and alkaline dust are how a good week becomes a limp. People who have done this a few times carry moleskin, not a handful of bandages that sweat off. Put it on the hot spot when you first feel it. Break the shoes in before you fly.

How we use it

Cut the pad larger than the sore and round the corners so it does not peel. A few alcohol wipes in the same bag help it stick. This is camp first aid, not a reason to skip closed toes.

Heads up

If a foot is infected or you cannot walk, that is a medical tent conversation, not a pad.
