Why it's on the list

Gloves with lights are the rave piece that photographs and then has to survive dust, a bike grip, and a night of taking them off. Buy a pair with a switch and a battery door you can close. They come off for anything involving shade stakes or a hot stove. They come home. A glove left on the playa is moop with a battery in it.

How we use it

Look for a pair sized to your hand, with an off switch, not a glove you have to destroy to kill the light. Bring a spare set of cells. They are miserable to bike in for long, so they live in the basket between camps.

Heads up

They are not work gloves. Hot metal and rebar are still the leather pair.
