Dustpan and brush

Why it's on the list

The blower moves the flour. It does not pick it up. A short dustpan and a stiff brush are how the pile at the threshold goes into a bag instead of back onto the rug. Do it downwind. Empty into the trash you are already hauling out.

How we use it

Keep it by the door of the tent, not in the bottom of the bin. A damp brush just makes paste. Shake it dry. The playa in the bristles comes home with you if you forget.

Heads up

Sweeping into the open playa is moving your dust onto someone else. Bag it.
