Nested metal camp pots beside a stove and a cooler.

BS-818

Worth packing

Nesting camp pots

Burning Man kitchen gear

Two pots that stack, with a lid that can be a plate.

Why it's on the list

The Jetboil boils. A pot is how you cook something that is not a pouch: eggs, noodles, a pot of coffee for the people who just woke up. Nesting cookware takes one slot in the bin instead of a kitchen's worth of pans.

How we use it

Choose hard-anodized or steel, with a lid and a fold-flat handle. Skip a nonstick pan you will scratch with a metal spoon on day two. Wash with a little water and pack the gray water out.

Heads up

A pot is not a skillet for a crowd. If the camp is feeding twelve, this is the backup, not the kitchen.
